Navigation test
2026-10-01. Count scientific notes, not the short routing page itself. The aim is relevant reading, not minimizing the corpus. All 174 notes and 123 PDFs remain accessible through the archive and grouped manuscript page.
| Reader | First page and shortest useful path | Files to the frontier | Risk and correction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agent continuing the gauge local calculation | STATE → dependencies, gauge section → refinement-composition-and-limit → series-parallel-gauge-refinement → su2-midpoint-exact → su2-midplane-order-t → su2-midplane-small-field §§24–25,33–37 | Five scientific notes after STATE/map; add sun-midpoint-centre only for group/cut transfer | A theorem compendium or old tutorial can sound like full nonlinear comparison. The map says exactly which weak-strip/quadratic inputs are established and what the moving saddle must supply |
| Agent continuing Newton action necessity | STATE → dependencies, Newton section → principia-fifth-postulate → planck-gap-paper → necessity-unit-and-indeterminacy → newton-indeterminacy-routes → sed-closure-under-recording §§8.11–8.20 | Five scientific notes after STATE/map; direct section link for an already oriented researcher | Gaussian continuity can be mistaken for uniform complete-record continuity; local-data instability for operational distinguishability. Maps and tutorial name the families, metrics and physical premise |
| Mathematical physicist arriving cold | Homepage → tutorial → three-continuum-limits → refinement-composition-and-limit → chosen case-study synthesis/frontier | Two shared notes before choosing a branch; then two or three branch notes for orientation | The old homepage’s full list made calibration and historical branches look compulsory. Curated cards/paths now separate the default argument from the searchable archive |
The four-dimensional matching path takes Gaussian-blocking-coupling, four-dimensional-parallel-log and four-dimensional-composition after the series/parallel introduction. The supporting spectral path takes weak-coupling-feshbach-reduction, torus-valley-potential and schur-error-ultraviolet. Neither detour is compulsory for the next local mid-plane lemma.
Changes tested by the new navigation
- The homepage is a research map with results, open fronts, corrections and two short branches. The complete archive is a separate filterable page.
- Each scientific note has one archive entry, with retrieval priority, status, keywords and explicit correction redirects where relevant.
- Every PDF has a classified entry, including eight manuscripts without a matching note. PDF titles do not override the linked version/scope caveat.
- Dependency, obstruction, notation, analogy, book and programme maps are readable as generated HTML and linked from the public map.
- The mandatory local retrieval skill searches full notes, ideas, sources, references and historical manuscripts as well as the compact catalog. A high-value negative note stays retrievable even when its title says failure.
- The catalog has a coverage/metadata check in make check; adding a maintained note without updating the catalog fails the integrity gate.
The current large gauge and recording notebooks remain long. Section-level frontier links and dependency instructions reduce irrelevant reading while preserving their derivations. The old ledger and apparatus compilation are valuable specialist resources, but too broad or too old to serve as the default current-status entry point. No new scientific synthesis is required to reach either current frontier; the refinement synthesis described in synthesis opportunities remains a useful future book chapter rather than an additional research task.
Machine checks establish complete membership, valid links and generated-page access. The reader paths above are a reasoned navigation test, not a claim that three independent human readers have tested the site.
